Strasbourg, December 2016

To help us develop our artistic process for the Artecitya Project, we invited seven civic services to join Apollonia. From september to may 2017, they work on the development of the citizen lab project, in Strasbourg and Colmar. As they are all wonderful but all different, we introduce them to you.

Can you introduce yourself ? How old are you ? What have you been studying ?
My name is Lucille, I’m 23 years old. I have passed a Master 1 in information and communication in the University of Lyon.

Why did you apply to this civic service ?
I apply to this civic service because collaborate with East Europeans countries interested me a lot. The European dimension was fundamental for me and moreover, question related to urbanism always interested me. It was a good compromise.

How are you involved in the Artecitya Project ?
I’m mostly involved in the administrative questions related to Artecitya for the moment, but I also have the occasion to be informed of the new projects each partners asks us, and I can follow the evolution of the current projects.

What’s your reflexion process regarding the importance of art and human being in our cities ?
I would say that in the city it is more the questions of aesthetic than art itself that I care about. But both are linked. For the question of the individual in the society, obviously I think it’s necessary to integrate them in the various levels and process of construction and development because at the end, without individual there is no urban. I think we should re-learn an approach of the city so that each of us will be implied.
