News from ACTLAB

News from Actlab.

ACTlab, is a laboratory founded by Bellastock. The research on going there is focused on waste prevention in the frame of building industry. Located in a demolition site, future place of an eco-district, ACTlab is promoting the basis to create a reuse channel of discarded, salvaged and reclaimed materials.
The main challenge is to establish an economic model to this activity, giving the possibility to articulate deconstructing phases with rebuilding project, according to operative regulations.

The office & meeting quarters

After a successful development of the building envelope construction work, it’s time for us to complete the internal layout and finishes. The office and meeting quarters program will include, offices and co-working spaces, a large room for meetings, exhibition or lectures and facilities as toilets, showers and a kitchen that can turn into a bar for outdoors events.

The aim is to be totally operational in march 2017 for the Bellastock team and its local partners but as building within reusing, repurposing and recovering material is not a perfect science yet we keep in mind that the demonstration of this experimental architecture has to be ready to properly welcome and foster all our great Artecitya partners in may 2017.

If you would like to join the participative time of building, please write to contact@bellastock.com

Actlab’s garden is a gardening place with « the means at hand » especially « without organic soil » which aims to experiment and adapt every technics related to creating garden  with reused and repurposed materials as well as with natural dynamics like permaculture or composting.

This garden is participating to Actlab methodology, that promote reusing and repurposing materials. Here it concerns reusing and recovering organic materials, like soil and plants. A further aim is to foreshadow the future Île-Saint-Denis eco-district landscape.
