A special OPENHAUS_extended  closed the year 2016 at ZK/U! The OPENHAUS is a regular public format that takes place every month in ZK/U, inviting audiences to connect with and to explore the process of its residency program. We used this occasion as an opportunity to give an outlook on some of our current and upcoming projects like the Artist Dis-Placement program and others. Under the overarching theme called Resetting the City: Urban Infrastructure Revisited we combined the OPENHAUS with a new format called Güterverkehr, which experiments with diverse forms of knowledge production, this time under the motto Re-Pairs.
During one afternoon the public was invited to get to know  the artists, take part in workshops and engage in the discussion round on the Artist Dis-Placement program. Anke Strauß (Ph.D.), who already scientifically accompanied a number of similar projects, presented the theoretical and historical background of artistic interventions while the artists Viktor Vejvoda, Alona Rodeh and Jan van Esch talked about their experience in the different institutions.Â
